"I know that I speak for myself and my 8 siblings when I say that my mother's passing has left a huge hole in our family but one that is so balanced by the millions of memories that she left us with over her lifetime. She is remembered by so many for her perpetual welcome and generous personality. Then her recipes are now world renown as people pass on and share them. I am honored and inspired to have her as my mother."

"Mrs. Brodie and my mother, Maureen Lehmann, became friends in the Royal Victoria hospital in Montreal when Mrs Brodie was having Christine and my mother was having Mary. Even as adults we called her Mrs Brodie out of love and respect. Over the years it was always a great pleasure to see her. I was deeply saddened to hear the news, but along with others, I will never forget that beautiful smile. My condolences to the family."
