The Brodie family and the Lehmann family have been friends since I was five, 57 years ago.. Mrs. Brodie, Mae, Granny has been part of our family and will remain forever in our hearts. I've been blessed to have her in my life. She was a very special person,intelligent, loving, thoughtful, forgiving and always welcoming. She will live on in each of her children. BRODIE, Ethel Mae (Benson): Granny Mae loved life and it loved her back. On November 1, 2017 she passed away at Creek Way Village in Burlington, Ontario in her 97th year. Formerly of Dorval and Montreal North, Quebec, beloved wife of the late John Casimir Brodie (1988), loving Mom of Dennis (Joanne) Brodie, Joan (Haig) Sarafian, Louise (Richard) Pesner, Bill (Avis) Brodie, Larry (Sharon) Brodie, Charlotte Lehmann, Johnnie (Debi) Brodie, Christine Brodie, Katherine (Arne) Schwisberg. Cherished “Granny Mae” to 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations to Free the Children, World Vision, or another children’s charity are requested.
